Upper Cottonwood Creek Wildlife Area CLOSED Until Archery Deer Season

I went to go pig hunting at Upper Cottonwood Creek Wildlife Area and it is closed. There is a sign on the gate saying it is closed to all hunting until archery deer season due to a nature survey. Wildlife viewing is still allowed.

So my brother went fishing here, (I had to work) but I thought I would share anyway because of his unusual catch.

He caught several small scorpion fish, a nice sized Surf Perch, and some Dungeness crab. Unfortunately the Dungeness were to small to keep. But the real kicker was that he caught an octopus there. I had never seen any there before and thought it was a cool catch, he later released it.
